Writer's Stylus: Slate – Student Portfolio Book 2

Designed for Grade 5, Slate guides students through a structured writing process, helping them organize ideas, write with clarity, and develop essential skills across all genres, including those found in standardized testing. Book 2 contains Units 5–8 (of 8), incorporating checklists and rubrics to reinforce expectations and build writing confidence.

For first-year implementation, schools may consider using Citrine (designed for Grade 4) before transitioning to Slate.
