This book's young-reader format is slightly deceptive. Although the text is sparse, the depth and terminology used to discuss tornadoes is more appropriate for middle elementary readers. Gibbons' kid-friendly, watercolor illustrations include maps, destruction scenes, emergency plans, and related weather events. Very informative.
