Sometimes a little money and a big dream is all a cowboy needs to ride into the sunset. Or in Leroy Nnker's case, those and an endless supply of sweet sayings and bottomless pots of spaghetti. With her usual humor and embedded insight, DiCamillo crafts a story about finding one's voice, or at least one's words. Great for growing independent readers or for reading aloud.
